Colin Tobias was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1992. Prior to entering law school, he worked for the Ontario Attorney General’s Ministry in various courts for a number of years. Colin focuses his practice on child protection cases against the various Children’s Aid Societies but he also enjoys the challenge of extremely difficult custody and access cases. Colin is a seasoned trial lawyer who is always well prepared and can navigate through the difficult issues that arise in your case. Colin has made law in a number of his cases and his precedents are used widely by the courts and other lawyers. In addition to his litigation talents, Colin is a skilled negotiator, often being able to obtain the results his clients want without the need to proceed to trial. At all times Colin is a child focused advocate, always considering what is in the child’s best interests.
